Winners are required to go to State! Mark your calendars early.
St. Louis District IV - Virtuoso Club sends one piano winner, one voice and one instrumental winner to the State Competition in May.
$75 traveling expense is given to each winner.
Winners and 1st Runners-up are awarded engraved medallions.
State Winners are awarded a plaque by our District.
At State, each student will perform one selection at the competition. This must be a selection that they performed at this year's Festival/Scholarship Competition.
No student may come to the event to represent their district 2 years in a row. If they come to State Junior Competition during one year, they must wait out a year before coming again. This is a way to give a wider number of students the opportunity to experience the State Junior Competition.
Requirements:
Grade 10 and above.
Piano Solo: Level D1 and above.
Instrumental Solo: Level D1 and above.
Instrumental Concerto: Level D1 and above.
Voice: Senior Class
Must perform both Festival pieces. This event also counts as your Festival rating, points, trophies and ribbons.
Entry deadline is February 14, 2023.
