Information:

Memorization is optional.
This is an excellent opportunity for our students to practice and hone their performance skills, in a fun, positive atmosphere, as well as receive a beautiful trophy!
Purpose:
The National Federation of Music has declared the month of November as American Music Month. In 1955, founder Ada Holding Miller, the 17th NFMC President, established the Parade with the purpose of creating a time for special emphasis on all types of American Music. NFMC encourages clubs to bring more recognition to American composers; to stimulate public appreciation and awareness of American music; and to broaden the knowledge of American music. The Parade encompasses all aspects of music, i.e., folk music, jazz, hymns, spirituals, musical theater, symphonies, bands and solo compositions.
