Purpose:

The NFMC Festivals Program is designed to give Junior (age 18 and younger) and Adult member musicians of all abilities the opportunity to perform and receive a yearly evaluation in a non-competitive environment.   Participation in NFMC Festivals promotes music study, stimulates interest in the musical literature of both the USA and the world, and encourages each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement.  The NFMC Festivals Cup Award Plan and Honor Certificates offer additional incentives to encourage continued participation in NFMC Festivals.

Special Requests:

  • Please indicate all special requests for
Day // AM // PM on the entry form.
  • This does not mean that your studio can request all your students perform on Saturday AM.   We have a limited number of rooms and pianos.
  • Please be selective in what qualifies for a special request:  First Holy Communion, Baptism, Solo & Ensemble, Marching Band competitions, etc.

  • Siblings and ensemble partners will be scheduled closely together.  Please contact all families involved to coordinate a workable day and time for all.

Rescheduling & Late Entries:

  • There is a $15 fee per rescheduling request.  Requests are to be made by teachers only, and only via email to:
    kellystinnettmusic@gmail.com

  • There is a $25 fee per late entry.
  • When a student is rescheduled or registers late, it affects the timing of more than one room and many other families too.  Please advise your families to keep their calendar open during that weekend.

Repertoire Changes:

  • No changes in repertoire can be made after submitting your entries without approval:   kellystinnettmusic@gmail.com
  • Please mail a new Judge's Rating Sheet for any approved changes.

Monitoring:

  • Monitoring is required by all teachers who enter students in the Festival.
  • Monitoring Requests:  If you have a monitoring day or time request, please send it in writing with your entries.
  • If you are unable to monitor, you will need to send your spouse, a parent or responsible teenager to take your place.  We rely on everyone to insure this event runs smoothly and is a positive experience for students and parents!
